The 26th Modern Greek Studies Association Symposium will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Sacramento. Centrally located across the street from the California State Capitol (see map below), the hotel features spacious rooms and suites, a fitness center, spa, and pool. Theaters, landmarks, and popular attractions, like Old Sacramento and the Golden 1 Center, are located within walking distance. Public transportation is also accessible nearby. Both Amtrak and Greyhound provide transportation to many other locations throughout California.

Taxis are quite expensive from the airport to the Hyatt. Typical costs are $50.00+ for a one-way trip. Please consider carpooling.

Uber/Lyft are more cost-effective ways to get to/from the airport. Typical costs are $25.00 each way.

While the hotel does not provide a courtesy van, a commercial service called SuperShuttle operates at the airport with rates starting at $15 for one ranging to $74 for 7 passengers going to the same address.

The Hyatt Regency is sold out but the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel which is 2 blocks away at 1230 J St. has rooms for 159 USD per night.
