SYMPOSIUM 2013

November 14-16, 2013 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana

The MGSA held its very successful 23rd Symposium in Bloomington, Indiana, from 14-16 November, 2013.

This Symposium was hosted by Franklin Hess, Chair of the Local Arrangements Committee based at Indiana University, and by Artemis Leontis (University of Michigan), who served as Chair of the Program Committee. The Symposium’s program can be consulted here. Program highlights included the truly interdisciplinary work presented by junior scholars, the keynote address delivered by Yanis Varoufakis before more than 250 attendees, and the evening dedicated to “Greece in Writing,” which brought together young creative writers and senior scholars. The MGSA is indebted to the organizers, the speakers, the attendees, and the many sponsors who made this Symposium possible.
