The MGSA’s 26th biennial Symposium will be held at the California State University, Sacramento, on November 7-10, 2019 (Th. pm through Su. am). Katerina Lagos, Professor of History and Director of the CSUS Hellenic Studies Program, will host the event and chair the Local Arrangements Committee. Mid-January 2019 will be the deadline for electronic submissions of abstracts, panel proposals, and proposals for special sessions. The Program Committee will send out notifications of acceptances and rejections by March 31, 2019. A preliminary program will be posted by late summer 2019.
On the Thursday opening night of the Symposium, the MGSA announces the winners of its various prize competitions (for books, dissertations, translations, and graduate student essays). All prizes have an April 1, 2019 submission deadline, except for the graduate student essay prize, which has a July 31, 2019 deadline.
Join us for another symposium of the highest academic standards.
